Transition arrangement for completion of pre-2021 program
As part of the Transition Rules for the BE (Honours) program, Civil students must enrol in courses that satisfy one of the following combinations:
Combination 1 | Rule: CIVL2135 + CIVL2530 (with or without MATH2000 which could be counted as an elective) |
Combination 2 | Rule: MATH2000 + STAT2201 + CIVL2130 |
Combination 3 | Rule: MATH2000 + STAT2201 + CIVL2135 (#1 additional – would count towards electives (if available) – could be offset by a #1 elective like MATH2010 or STAT2202) |
Combination 4 | Rule: MATH2000 + CIVL2530 + CIVL2130 (#1 additional – would count towards electives (if available) – could be offset by a #1 elective like MATH2010 or STAT2202) |
Academic Advice for enrolment:
- Students who have NOT completed both CIVL2130 and STAT2201 must follow the 2017 course list and rules. I.E. they must do CIVL2135 and CIVL2530
- Students who have already completed both CIVL2130 and STAT2201, must follow the 2016 course list and rules. I.E. they must do MATH2000
- Students who have NOT completed CIVL2130 but have completed STAT2201 should enrol in CIVL2130 and MATH2000 in semester 1 2017. Students must email the SOCE for approval to enrol in CIVL2130
- Students who have NOT completed STAT2201, but have completed CIVL2130, may follow the 2016 course list and complete STAT2201 AND MATH2000 or may complete CIVL2530 AND MATH2000
- Students who have completed MATH2000 and have NOT completed CIVL2130 should enrol in CIVL2130 in semester 1, 2017
- Students who have completed MATH2000 and have NOT completed STAT2201 may enrol in STAT2201 in any future semester to suit their study plan
CIVL2130 will NOT be available after 2017.
- Students who commenced year 2 Civil Engineering prior to 2017 are not required to do ENGG4900. They may use the 2016 course list.
