Confirmation seminar presented by Jiawei Ren.

Decarbonization and the development of sustainable cementitious material in the construction and infrastructures industry is one of the most paramount aims for modern industry development. A novel micro-scaffold method based on 3D printed micro-scaffold was proposed to develop structured cementitious material and lightweight high-performance structured concrete material. To improve the sustainability of newly-developed structured cementitious material, the carbon neutralization process from natural gas-based hydrogen productions and carbon capture by honey-comb structured cementitious composite (HSCC) was investigated in the project. The author investigated the utilization of agricultural waste and recycled crushed glass in structural construction materials. The thermal properties of HSCC were also investigated to improve the building energy use efficiency. Lastly, the author investigate the scale-up production method of micro-scaffold method to improve its practical application.
